Oh My Epic Weasling Abilities!

** FAVORITE QUOTE ALERT ** Be aware that I have, on occasion, been known to obsess over good quotes. It is a bad habit, that cannot be helped. Hehe...

Anyways, like most books, I do have a few quotes that I become quite fond of. And the Mortal Instrument series is no exception. Actually most of my favorite quotes come from Jace (<-- only mention of Jace in this entire post...I promise!), however, my favorite quote of all time from this series comes from Magnus Bane.

Magnus is one of those characters, who I wasn't sure at first, if I would like him. However, as the series went on...Magnus is a character that you can't help but grow fond of. Even Alec seems to like him, hehe. *wink*

Anyways, getting off topic. Favorite quote, here it is:

"Never doubt my weasling abilities, Shadowhunter, for they are epic and memorable in their scope."

Same here, Magnus, same here. My weasling abilities are so epic, somtimes I surprise myself-- haha! Oh, and I have a Magnus banner for your viewing pleasure. Feel free to use it, but please give credit where credit is due! That's my only request! ;)

Funny thing, that is the order I like the books too. However, most of my favorite quotes are from CoA. Ahhh...all the books are amazing! Haha....anyways, a new poll will be up soon. More than likely today. And also a new quote & icon on the sidebar at the top! :P

Oh The Things Jace Does....

Okay...so is it obvious yet? That I have a thing for Jace, that is. I've made about a million (okay, maybe that's an exaggeration) banners with Jace. I promise, I am going to make some more banners with different characters-- as well as, some wallpapers and icons. However, Jace seems to be my biggest inspiration. Oh Jace, the things you do....*sigh* Also, if anyone has suggestions for characters, please let me know. You can always send them via our Twitter or you can send them to allthingsmortal@live.com!

Anyways, on a not-so-different note, after a great deal of pestering (and a bit of begging) one of my best friends started reading The Mortal Instrument series. And from what she tells me, she loves the series so far. (Who wouldn't? Haha) However, she's still only on City of Bones, so she has quite a long way to go. I can't believe it, though; she DOESN'T like Jace. *listens to all the gasps* Yes, I know! How can that be possible, right? I actually don't remember if I was quite fond of Jace in City of Bone straightaway either. I think it took me a little getting used to Jace. He can be quite..... cocky confident. But that's what I love about Jace, though. His confidence can be quite...appealing. Hey, it was for Clary sort of.... Anyways, like I said, my friend is still on City of Bones, so let's see what she thinks of Jace later on in the series.

My friend does seem to like Simon, though! I do, too! However, I wasn't too fond of Simon in City of Bones. I think I started liking him more towards the middle of City of Ashes. *shrugs*

So, how about all of you?

Found A Demon In My Safest Haven...

Snazzy blogpost title, eh? Well, it comes from a song, so I didn't have to wrack my brain too hard to come up with it, haha. It's actually the first song I listened to after reading the Mortal Instruments series....and it was so weird because the song just FIT the story! Some songs can just fit with one part of the story, but this particular song encompassed the ENTIRE series, in my opinion.

It also happens to be by one of my favourite bands, too.... the song is Turn it Off by Paramore! Posted the lyrics & a music player below! If you haven't listened to the song, take a listen & read the lyrics. I love this song! And if you have listened to it, read the lyrics & maybe you'll see why I think this song fits with the whole feel of The Mortal Instrument series!

First Real Post! Gotta Make It Special, Right?

First real post! So, going to make it as epic as possible! Hopefully I don't bore you!

So, I'll tell you briefly why I started this blog for The Mortal Instrument Series. I'm actually new to the series, I'm just shy of a week since I finished the books. I heard about them quite a while ago, but I never had time to sit down and read them. Last week I did, and I fell in love. I literally read the entire series in 3 days! So, less than a week later, this blog is up and pretty much running! (And if you didn't know, those other sites in the side bar under 'affiliates' are actually other sites I own...so I'm not new to the whole fansite thing.)

If you didn't know, I also made a Twitter account for this blog! So, if you're not, please follow --> @AllThingsMortal on Twitter! And since we've been opened for less than 24 hours, it is so awesome that Cassandra Clare retweeted about our blog on her twitter.

^^ Pretty epic & totally made my entire day! Thanks Cassandra! ^^

Also, taking any suggestions for this blog that you may have. My goal is to make this site as fun and interesting as possible!!! So, I'll be posting graphics (that I have made & if anyone sends any in, I'll post & credit), the occasional news (though, I don't plan to be a news site), songs that remind me of the series, quotes from the series (and focusing on particular characters each week or every other week), and so much more! I definitely have a lot planned for this small blog!
